I studied lens design with Rudolf Kingslake and Robert R. Shannon.

Kingslake was quite a taskmaster, and a great story teller. I learned more about different optical systems than I could have ever imagined existed.

I am fluent in Zemax, Synopsys, python and Matlab. Over the years I have used Code V and Oslo to design systems as well as MatLab, LabView and python to control hardware and analyze data. I also have training in Fred, Light Tools and ASAP.
